Our Tiny House Cottages

The cottages have luxurious queen size beds, cozy seating areas, small kitchenettes, and spacious bathrooms with walk-in showers. The furnishings and décor were selected to compliment the distinct design theme of each cottage and provide a fun, relaxing and unique atmosphere.

The Boutique Retreat offers 9 custom tiny house cottages with distinct design themes such as an Urban Loft, Ohana Bungalow, Mod Cottage, Glam Cottage, Bohemian Bungalow, Surf Shack, Farmhouse, Lodge, and Coastal Cottage.


When you walk through the entrance to The Boutique Retreat, you will experience the tranquility and natural beauty of a lushly landscaped urban courtyard with meandering pathways leading to the tiny house cottages, which are situated to create a sense of privacy. Guests at The Boutique Retreat can sip wine around a cozy firepit, and listen to calm water flowing from a large Buddha Head fountain. 

Urban Loft

The spacious 300 square foot Urban Loft is designed in the spirit of a big-city brownstone or industrial flat. This cottage features warm neutral colors and rich textures complimented by modern and vintage furnishings, décor and authentic industrial artifacts. It has an upgraded bathroom with gorgeous black slate Italian tile in the shower, and a generous size porcelain sink. The interior of the cottage has a brick accent wall and a beautiful tongue & groove pine ceiling that compliments the rustic Rail Tie Luxury Plank Vinyl Flooring. The Urban Loft also has a private outdoor deck that faces Alpine Avenue, which is a pedestrian-friendly street redeveloped by the City of McMinnville for periodic festivals and entertainment events. The private deck is directly across from a very large, new mural that was painted by a prominent Portland Artist, with vibrant, rich colors.

The Ohana Bungalow

The Ohana Bungalow is a spacious 300 square foot cottage with an upscale Island theme featuring warm acacia wood, rich leather furnishings and authentic art from Hawaii. The interior of the cottage has a stunning 11 foot arched ceiling accented with rich tongue & groove pine that compliments the clean white walls and warm vinyl plank luxury flooring. This tiny house has an upgraded bathroom with designer tile in the shower, glass shower doors and a wood vanity with stone countertops. The Ohana Bungalow is one of only 2 cottages with French doors leading to an outdoor porch that faces Alpine Avenue, which is a pedestrian-friendly street redeveloped by the City of McMinnville for periodic festivals and entertainment events. The private deck is directly across from a very large, new mural painted by a prominent Portland Artist, with vibrant, rich colors.

Mod Cottage

The Mod Cottage is influenced by the clean lines, bright colors and minimal décor made famous by Frank Lloyd Wright and other modernist architects who became famous after World War II. The large windows, geometric shapes, connection to the outdoors and atomic starburst accents will bring back memories of the Jetsons. This cottage is 240 square feet and includes a luxurious queen size bed, kitchenette, and a carrara marble inspired walk-in shower in a spacious, modern bathroom. The Mod Cottage fronts 9th Street and includes a view of McMinnville's Grain Station Brewery and Flag & Wire Coffee Roasters, which are a 2-minute walk from the Retreat.

The Glam Cottage

The Glam Cottage is a cozy 240 square foot tiny house with a romantic, sophisticated design theme that embraces soft textures and colors illuminated by the warm glow of an elegant chandelier crafted from iron and crystal with a brass finish. The interior of the cottage has beautiful 11 foot arched ceilings accented with white shiplap that compliments the soft colors of the walls and luxury plank vinyl flooring. The cottage has an upgraded bathroom with beautiful designer tile, and a bathroom vanity with a porcelain countertop. The Glam Cottage has French doors facing the interior of the retreat and is in close proximity to the soothing sounds of the Buddha head water feature. It also has large, custom windows allowing lots of natural light and a peak at the Grain Silo that is the hallmark of the Granary District | Winery Row.

The Bohemian Bungalow

The Bohemian Bungalow is a cozy 240 square foot tiny house with calm, neutral colors embracing organic elements. The interior of the bungalow has a visually stunning arched ceiling that is 12 feet high at its peak with a large, continuous wood beam gracefully accented by tongue & groove pine that beautifully contrasts with the clean white walls and warm, herringbone, luxury plank vinyl flooring. The furnishings and décor are harmonious with nature featuring rich hardwood, soft, supple leather, eclectic art, and botanical accents. The soothing Buddha head water feature is positioned directly in front of the bungalow giving guests a calming view of this majestic masterpiece created from volcanic ash and imported from Indonesia.

The Surf Shack

The Surf Shack was inspired by the luxury surf huts on Hawaii's legendary North Shore of Oahu. It is anything but a shack. The exterior is clad in beautiful cedar shake siding and the interior walls finished in a warm off-white shiplap with an 11 foot ceiling finished in pine tongue & groove planks. Enjoy the upscale surfing accents and tiki decor while teaching yourself a tune on an authentic Hawaiian Ukulele. The Surf Shack is centered on the rear of the lot with a great view of the grounds, and the Buddha Head water feature. The cottage is 240 square feet and features a kitchenette, luxury queen size bed and spacious bathroom with walk in shower.

The Farmhouse

The Farmhouse is a 240 square foot, ADA compliant tiny house with rustic and charming design elements. The interior of the cottage has a dramatic arched ceiling that is 12 feet high at its peak with a large, continuous wood beam accented by rich tongue groove pine that beautifully contrasts with the clean white walls and warm luxury plank vinyl flooring. The center of the wood beam features an authentic barn pulley that was custom made into an artistic and functional light feature. The furnishings and décor were selected to create a classic farmhouse experience with barnyard accents, and modern amenities. To accommodate guests with disabilities, the cottage has a unique floor plan that features an extra large bathroom with a walk-in shower and spacious bathroom vanity. The farmhouse is located in a private, quiet location at the back of the retreat with easy access through the common courtyard.

The Lodge

The Lodge is one of our most unique cottages. Staying in the Lodge will bring back memories of family vacations at Grandpa's cabin or summer vacations at the lake. The interior is finished in warm honey-pine tongue & groove planks with accents including antique wooden snow skis, antler chandelier (faux), bear skin rug and other outdoor inspired art and decor. The double French doors allow a great view of the landscaped grounds. The cottage includes a well-appointed kitchenette, spacious bathroom with walk-in shower and luxurious queen size bed.

Coastal Cottage

The Coastal Cottage is a cozy 240 square foot tiny house with a soft, clean and calm color palette. The interior of the cottage has a pitched ceiling that is 14 feet high at its peak, which is accented by two substantial Douglas Fir wood beams that provide a dramatic backdrop for the crisp white walls and neutral luxury plank vinyl flooring. The furnishings and décor are harmonious with the colors of the sea and sand with soft colors, light birch and mango wood, and art featuring the beautiful hues of the coastline. The Coastal Cottage features an upgraded bathroom with a gorgeous, textured white tile shower and a bathroom vanity with a marble countertop. The Coastal Cottage is located within the interior of the retreat in close proximity to the primary entrance on Alpine Avenue and the communal firepit.
